A direct line is available for ordering repeat medication. The telephone number is 028 3834 3260

Please try to use this service whenever possible, rather than telephoning the receptionist during surgery hours. At these times a number of people may be trying to get through to make an urgent appointment or to order urgently needed medication.

Repeats may be ordered by telephoning the receptionist or in person, but please try to do this between 11.00 am and 12.00 noon or between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm.

Please ensure that you order your regular medication well in advance, to ensure that you do not run out of medication. Allow a full 24 hours before collection, and do remember that the Health Centre is closed at weekends. Acute prescriptions may be ordered through the receptionist. Morning requests are normally available for collection after 3 p.m. that day. Afternoon requests will be available the following morning. This is provided the doctor is willing to prescribe the item requested without seeing the patient. Certain drugs will not be issued without the patient being seen by the GP.

Do remember that the pharmacist can help with many conditions. Simple coughs, colds and most sore throats do not need a doctor.
